The Winged Dragon LE8 Fountain Pen

A few dragons have crystallised out of these myths to become the most honoured among their kind. To these noble dragons, deeply rooted in East Asian culture and possessed of great powers, Montblanc dedicates a very special limited edition. The tenth in the series features the responsive Winged Dragon. The majestic Winged Dragon winds its body sinuously around the solid Au 750 white gold cap and barrel as an artful hand-engraving. Its body is fully set with green tsavorites, blue paraiba turmalines and a variety of blue topaz, representing the characteristic colour of the Winged Dragon. Blue topaz’ are set as the dragon’s eyes while its spine is made of solid Au 750 white gold with a fine signature gold coating. The cap and barrel are further enriched with engraved elements, symbolising auspicious clouds. The handcrafted, solid Au 750 gold nib bears a delicate engraving of the Hong sign from the oracle bone script of the Shang dynasty, a bow-shaped dragon with a head at both ends and is decorated with a light blue sapphire in its heart hole. The design is further enriched with an engraving of the dragon’s head on the solid Au 750 signature gold forepart and a light blue sapphire set in the cone while the cap top is crowned by the Montblanc diamond, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds.
