Since the beginning of time, the number eight has captivated the imagination and fuelled the superstition of mankind. Almost everywhere the number eight promises good fortune. Especially in China the number eight 8 plays a fundamental role because the word for “eight” is pronounced “fa” – the word “ba” on the other hand, which in phonetic terms is articulated in almost exactly the same way, means more or less “imminent wealth”.

The skeletonized Au750 solid gold cap overlay represents eight modelled eights which are set with diamonds.

Top of the Cap

The top is crowned with an emblem made of mother-of-pearl and is supported by eight rings encircling the cap top.

The clip is set with diamonds and ends in a filigree modelled eight.

Design

The skeletonized Au750 solid gold overlay is showing modelled eights, each on cap and barrel eight times, which are set with 1037 diamonds in brilliant cut (~4,86 ct.).

Cone

The cone is decorated with eight rings.

Feather

The Au750 solid gold nib is enriched by the Yin & Yang figure, which is based on the eight trigrams of the 'I Ching' - an important Feng Shui symbol.
