The approximately 5.89 ct Australian fire opal sphere is inspired by the 1604 supernova observed and published by Kepler in De Stella Nova.

It symbolizes the instrument used by Kepler in astronomical observations and is enriched with two blue sapphires of approximately 0.13 ct.

Design geral

Lid and body in white gold and lacquer, with three-dimensional manual engraving under the lacquer and 122 diamonds of approximately 0.55 ct. The recordings refer to the constellations of Ophiúco and Sagittarius in De Stella Nova.

Cone

The lacquered engraving on the base is inspired by the model of the Platonic solids of the solar system from Mysterium Cosmographicum (1596).

Pena

Au750 solid gold nib with the design of the conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter and the Supernova of 1604.
