History

Han Wu-Ti was the seventh emperor of the Han Dynasty, ruling from 141 BC to 87 BC. During his regency he formed China like few other rulers before or after him, which earned him the honorable title of Wu – The Warlike. Wu-Ti laid the foundation stone for a greatly developed central administration and established China’s first university, thus becoming a committed defender of China’s cultural heritage. During his reign Confucianism became the state's orthodox philosophy and arts flourished. China enjoyed a level of affluence and prosperity that has remained unrivaled until today.

The emblem on the cap, embossed by the hands of a master craftsman, shows a portrait of the emperor and highlighting that golden period of Chinese history.
Top of the Cap
The emblem is made of mother-of-pearl.
Clip
The clip is made of Au750 solid gold.
Design
The design is inspired by the long lasting artistic and cultural values and commemorates the great emperor who exerted a formative influence on the Central Empire. The creation is made of Au750 solid gold and enriched with several diamonds (~0,95 ct.) on the cap rings and barrel. The name Han Wu Ti has been eternalized on the barrel by artistic inlay work employing quality mother-of-pearl.
Cone
The particularity of each fountain pen is underlined by the hand-engraved edition number on the Au750 solid gold cone.
Feather
The five clawed dragon artfully adorns the Au750 solid gold nib - a Chinese symbol for fortune, strength and longevity.
Limitation
The number 8 is considered a lucky number. It also reflects the regular pattern written in the nib atelier with every nib before it is released.
